Let us help to make Mother's Day special!

25/02/2016
If you're organising Mothering Sunday this year (Sunday March 6 2016) your mum is most definitely in for a treat with our pick of things to do on Mother's Day.
Mother's Day

Create a unique gift for mum at East Riddlesden Hall at the Discovery Room before exploring the spring flowers together in the garden. Then treat mum to a delicious slice of cake in the cosy tearoom. Yummy!

For art loving mums have the perfect day out in Saltaire, find arts and crafts inspiration at Salts Mill.  Top idea: Head to Shipley Glen on the Victorian tramway for a scenic trip.

For mums who love afternoon tea, enjoy a cream tea on board one of Keighley and Worth Valley Railway's fabulous 1950s carriages as your train steams gently through Brontë Country.

For mums who love the great outdoors, take the family out and get some fresh air.  The Bradford district has some great routes on offer for a nice, long walk.

If your mum has a soft spot for history then she’ll love a day out at Bradford Museums & Galleries. Don't miss Handbags & Gladrags at Bradford Industrial Museum and 100 Leading Ladies at Cartwright Hall.

For all those foodie mums, Ilkley's new speciality fine food market will take place on Mother's Day, Sunday March 6.  You will find fruit liqueurs, authentic Indian sauces, chocolate truffles, artisan chutneys, pickles, jams and marmalades, Sicilian olives and olive oil, plus an artisan bakery, a local coffee producer, and Ilkley-based butcher Lishmans.  There will also be live entertainment from local performers and 'foodie' demonstrations.

Film loving mums will love The Ilkley Cinema there are a selection of one-off, special films. A classic romance, a light-hearted comedy or a musical, there's certainly something to please your dear Mum this Sunday.
