Our Aims

To position Ilkley and Wharfedale through better marketing, as an attractive visitor destination - Ilkley Moor is Yorkshire's most famous location in fact!
Co-ordination and sharing of marketing activity.
Develop Ilkley and Wharfedale as a tourism destination by lobbying for improved facilities.
Business growth, reduced costs and increased profits for local traders, organisations and benefiting the wider community.

Information flow. Members are better informed as to what Bradford Council and Yorkshire Tourist Board are doing and among the first to take advantage of marketing opportunities.

Networking opportunities to discuss current opportunities and challenges.

Cost reduction and higher profile through stand sharing at shows previously to expensive to attend on your own.

Brand positioning. Permission to use the tourism partnership brand in all marketing activity. Visitors will have also seen the logo in previous communication or brochures and will have increasing awareness of what we can offer them.

Journalist visits organised by the partnership. Recent successes include an article in The Times and several promotions are planned for the months ahead. Members are eligible to host visits by the travel trade or host journalists organised by the partnership.

Funding opportunities. As a group we are in a much stronger position to lobby for funding or influence the development of the District's tourism infrastructure.

Upbeat publicity aimed at increasing turnover and leading to benefits for businesses, traders and the community.
