Launch of South Pennines Walk & Ride Festival

South Pennines Walk & Ride Festival 11th - 26th September

The South Pennines Walk & Ride Festival is one of the North's most popular walking festivals.  This year's programme offers something for everyone - short, medium and long walks, various cycle rides and, new to this year's programme, some horse rides. There are also interpretive walks, talks and themed events, focusing on special aspects of South Pennines life and landscape - social and industrial history, transport, literature and the environment.
