The Tour de Yorkshire 2015



After the phenomenal reception that greeted the Tour De France Grand Depart in 2014, Bradford was proud to have hosted a stage of the inaugural Tour de Yorkshire in May 2015.  

The race visited Bradford on Sunday 3 May, and passed through the district, including Oxenhope  Haworth, Silsden, Addingham, Ilkley and Menston.

In summary

Day 1 - Started in Bridlington on the east coast where the race passed through the spectatular coastal and moorland landscapes before finishing in Scarbourough.

Day 2 - The race started at the magnificient Selby Abbey before weaving through the Yorkshire Wolds to Beverley with the final stop at York.

Day 3 - Started in Wakefield where the cyclists experienced the most challenging part of the race with 6 climbs.  The race ended in Roundhay Park in Leeds.
