Brontë Waterfalls

The Brontë waterfalls are a picturesque spot where the Brontë sisters were said to visit for inspiration. There is also a small bridge (Brontë Bridge) and a chair shaped rock where Emily Brontë is said to have sat and gathered ideas for her poems and stories.

Oxenhope

Oxenhope station is home to the Railway's exhibition shed and there is a regular programme of events held there including the Beer and Music Festival. The village is surrounded by beautiful countryside and you can follow the Oxenhope village trail to find out more about the village's history. There are several pubs and accommodation in the village too.

Top Withens

The dramatic location of Haworth Moor is the perfect location for Top Withens. This ruined farmhouse near Haworth is said to have been the inspiration for the location of the Earnshaw family house, Wuthering Heights, in the novel of the same name by Emily Brontë. The ruin lies on the Pennine Way and is a popular walking destination from Haworth and Stanbury.
 

Stanbury

Stanbury is the ideal base for those who enjoy the outdoors. Close to the Pennine Way and Top Withens there are lots of walks to be enjoyed. The village also has several pubs including the Old Silent Inn Britain's Best Food Pub 2010! There are several places to stay in the village.

Haworth

The picturesque village of Haworth was once home to the Brontës and their home is now the Brontë Parsonage Museum. Shop in Haworth's Main Street and eat out in one of the village's pubs or restaurants. There are lots of events throughout the year including 1940s Weekend and the Christmas Festival. There are lots of Inns, guest accommodation and cottages in the village.

Oakworth

The village of Oakworth is in a beautiful location on the upper slopes of the Worth Valley. The station and the village were the main locations for the famous 1970s film The Railway Children. Why not follow the Railway Children walk and see the locations for yourself? There's lots of walks to do from Oakworth as well as several pubs for lunch or a drink. Accommodation available.

Damems

Damems is the Uk's smallest train station and is one coach in length. Built in 1847 the station was built to serve a small mill close-by. The station has featured in the BBCs Born and Bred.
 

Ingrow West

Ingrow West is home to two fantastic transport museums; the Ingrow Museum of Rail Travel and the Ingrow Loco. Over 50 TV and film productions have featured the museum's carriages. There's a shop, snacks and free entry to both museums with a Green Day Rover ticket.

Keighley

Visit Keighley for some of Brontë Country's most popular attractions including Cliffe Castle, East Riddlesden Hall (National Trust) and the Keighley Bus Museum.
