1940s Weekend at Main Street, Haworth
The village of Haworth, West Yorkshire is delighted to announce that the much-loved 1940s weekend will be taking place again and is now a charitable event organised by the community to raise funds for their chosen charity SSAFA Forces Help.
Enjoy the sights and sounds of the era, as authentic swing jive dancing is performed both on the streets during the day and at the evening dances. Spivs and ‘honest’ street vendors ply their wares amongst the rows of military and period vehicles, whilst street entertainers recapture the music and performances of the time.
